iPhone 18 Pro sales jump in China ahead of iPhone Duo launch

Sales of the iPhone 18 Pro models in China were 12% higher in the three days following launch than sales of the iPhone 17 Pro models during their entire first week last year, according to Counterpoint Research.

This strong start helped Apple capture the top spot in the country’s smartphone market for the week of September 14-20, giving it a 33% share. But the news could be even better for Apple’s prospects in the Chinese market this month: the iPhone Duo goes on sale October 23, and Chinese consumers have a much stronger appetite for foldable devices than the rest of the world.
