Apple has yet to reveal when the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra will be announced and released, but the dates generally follow a familiar pattern.
As usual, the iPhone event is expected to take place in the first half of September.
Labor Day falls on September 7 this year. The last time the holiday was held on this day was in 2020, but that year’s iPhone event was delayed until October due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time Labor Day was on September 7 in a normal year was 2015, and the iPhone event took place on Wednesday, September 9 of that year.
As a result, the most likely date for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra event this year is Wednesday, September 9, until proven otherwise.
Back when the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus event took place on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, pre-orders began on Saturday, September 12 rather than Friday, September 11. Friday is a much more common day for iPhone pre-orders to begin, but Apple may have respectfully avoided September 11, 2015 due to the anniversary of 9/11.
So it’s possible that pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra will begin on Saturday, September 12 this year, unless Apple changes things. In this case, the devices release date would likely be Friday, September 18.
Another possibility is that Apple waits until Tuesday, September 15 to hold the event, in which case pre-orders would likely begin on Friday, September 18. Then, the devices would likely go on sale on Friday, September 25.
Apple has yet to announce any official dates, so we can only make these educated guesses for now. Soon we will know the exact dates.
