City of Signe, the next RPG Sleeping Citizen developer Gareth Damian Martin will make players parasites. Set in a brutalist, monochromatic Gotham on the brink of collapse, this entity will take control of various human hosts, directing their actions and accomplishing its own goals. When asked what cultural touchpoints inspired the self-described “fungalpunk” RPG, Martin points to their own British upbringing and the desire to “create something that would build on that identity and that history” – even if some of it might go over the heads of American audiences. Before they started designing video games, they worked at a…

Samsung Display has received approval from Apple to begin production of OLED panel modules for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, according to a report released today. The Elect. Citing industry sources, the report said Samsung Display has started operating part of its back-end production lines in Vietnam to fulfill an initial order of around three million panels scheduled for delivery this year. Approval for module production requires a supplier to demonstrate quality of final assembly and stability of mass production, and Apple’s threshold would be a yield rate of at least 70%. Samsung Display reportedly surpassed this mark after achieving final…

iOS 27 introduces a new Recovery Mode for iPhone and iPad that allows the device to boot into an alternative, lightweight interface without loading the full operating system, similar to Recovery Mode on Apple Silicon Macs. 221a/Getty Images We may receive a commission on purchases made from links. What’s old is new and comes back often, or at least it’s a common trend across many traditional fashions and products. As an example, old-fashioned movie cameras are gaining popularity, even among younger audiences. Depending on who you ask, these devices can capture an authentic, lived-in feel that modern digital cameras apparently can’t, and millennials and Gen Z are turning toward analog and away from today’s data-driven technologies. This trend and continued low prices are part of the…

Nightman1965/Getty Images We have all already witnessed the scene. A war movie hero enters dangerous territory when everything suddenly goes dark, and the next thing you see is his view through a pair of glowing green night vision goggles. When the lights flip that switch, you know it’s about to go out down…but why does it always appear green? Night vision would apparently be more effective if it offered the full color spectrum. However, if they did that, they wouldn’t be night vision goggles. The technology works because it amplifies…

There is growing speculation that Apple could raise prices on its iPhone 17 lineup as soon as this month, following CEO Tim Cook’s recent comments about “inevitable” price increases. Last week, Cook said The Wall Street Journal that Apple is no longer able to absorb the increasing cost of memory and storage chips, both of which are in high demand by AI and neocloud companies. Cook compared the lack of memory to a 100-year flood. “I haven’t seen anything like this in any area in over 40 years,” he said. Several companies have already increased their prices, including Samsung, Microsoft,…

ZikG/Shutterstock A new report from Counterpoint Research shows that while global smartwatch sales momentum continued to grow in 2026 (even as some consumers abandoned them), Samsung’s market share fell. While competitors like Apple saw substantial growth of 21% and some underappreciated smartwatch brands began to claim their own stake, Samsung’s smartwatch shipments in the first quarter of 2026 fell 28% year-over-year. That’s a pretty significant number in the wearable device space. The report attributes much of the overall market growth to increasing adoption from China, as well as a greater…
