‘Reuters’ claims the tracking tool could capture emails and chats from non-US employees. Reuters claims that a mouse-tracking program for Meta employees could violate strict EU privacy rules. In the United States, more than 1,000 school districts have sued social media companies for “addictive” products. Companies that settled the social media addiction lawsuit filed by the Breathitt County, Kentucky, school district will pay a collective amount of about $27 million, according to Bloomberg. Some companies announced earlier this month that they had settled with the plaintiff but did not disclose the financial details.
