A decade of Steam files totaling over 12TB have been leaked
The leak contains beta builds and completed games from Valve and third-party developers.
A trove of Steam data has been leaked, which apparently contains everything released on Steam between 2003 and 2013. The leak totals over 12TB and includes beta builds and fully completed games from Valve’s own franchises, including Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, and Portal. A GitHub catalog has compiled most of the titles, which also includes games from major franchises like Call of Duty, Fallout and Civilization, as well as those from independent developers.

The sheer scale of the leak means people are still sorting out the details, but so far internet sleuths have uncovered some never-before-seen details. F-Stop game from Valve that features gameplay revolving around a camera capable of manipulating real-world objects. Of course, there are hints at the long-awaited conclusion to the Half-Life franchise in the leak, but it’s referring to Half-Life 2: Episode 3which was supposed to be the final game in the series but was later canceled. There are a lot of posts on social media circulating about this Steam leak, but Valve has yet to comment on this topic, so we should take all this information with a grain of salt.

According to X user Gabe Follower, the leak was made possible by a publicly available endpoint. User X explained that this is why we only see files from 2013, since that’s when Valve switched to another storage system. We’ve reached out to Valve for comment on this and will update the story when we hear back.
