Perplexity’s Comet AI Browser for iOS Upgraded with 8 Major Improvements

Perplexity’s Comet AI Browser for iOS Upgraded with 8 Major Improvements

Two months ago, Perplexity first introduced its Comet AI browser from Mac to iPhone and iPad. Now, Perplexity has rolled out a big update to Comet for iOS that it says includes eight major improvements.

Perplexity’s Comet app lets you browse the internet and work with AI chatbots while using the web as context.

Comet first came to Mac last July before moving to iOS in March. Perplexity then gave the iPad version some more love with better multitasking support in April.

Perplexity is now upgrading Comet for iPhone and iPad with eight new features that it says are major improvements to the app. Here is the last one:

  • Phone Number Actions: Call, FaceTime, send a message, or save to Contacts from any page with just one click.
  • Refined iPad sidebar: calmer slide animation, tidier layout, sized to fit your window.
  • Finance Deep Dive in one tab: Long-term analysis opens like a real browser tab.
  • Search results remember their place: move away and come back without losing context.
  • Drag images into the wizard: Drop an image from any tab and it will appear as an image.
  • Omni-box adapts to the page: no more flickering when switching between light and dark sites.
  • Recently Closed, Stays Cleared – Clear All actually remains across reboots.
  • Deleted discussions remain deleted: opening an old link will not bring back any.

Perplexity also says that the latest Comet iOS update includes “crash fixes for clearing data and closing tabs, cleaner and more stable favicons, cleaner bottom controls on iPhone, and other fixes and improvements.”

You can download Comet for iOS from the App Store.
