Current Siri has colorful animation, but none of New Siri’s smart features. The long-awaited Siri overhaul is already coming two years later than expected. Even so, it will still be beta software when it actually arrives. At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced its new Siri with context awareness and other major improvements for the digital assistant. However, even though it ultimately didn’t arrive later in the year in iOS 18, and didn’t even arrive in iOS 26, it should now appear in iOS 27. However, even if Apple has two more years to work on the new AI-enabled Siri, it won’t be a fully finished product release. According to Mark Gurman in Sunday’s “Power On” newsletter for Bloombergit will arrive as a “beta” version. The test version of iOS 27 tested internally before WWDC includes a toggle to disable the new Siri experience. Disabling it will revert to the current Siri. However, while this will be used in developer releases after WWDC, it apparently won’t be limited to that. When the public release of 27 generation operating systems takes place in the fall, it is believed that Apple will retain the button at first. If true, that means Siri will be beta software when it comes time to be used by all iPhone and iPad users. It’s a move that won’t inspire confidence in New Siri, especially if Apple considers it a beta after working on it for so long. Post navigation What will happen in the next Apple Watch?
