iOS 27 adds a new way to manage your Safari tabs, compared

We’re less than a month away from Apple announcing iOS 27 at WWDC. A new report today corroborates that Apple is adding a new feature to Safari to help you manage your tabs and stay organized…

In the latest edition of its Power On newsletter, Bloomberg Mark Gurman reports that iOS 27 will add a new “Organize Tabs” feature to Safari.

This button would be located inside the “middle button at the top that users can press to move between their tab groups.” From this menu, users can choose the “Organize Tabs” option and set whether they want their tabs to be automatically grouped.

When you select the automatic choice, the system says that “tabs will be grouped into topics as you browse.” The feature is not considered an Apple Intelligence enhancement in the system, but it clearly uses some form of AI to work.

This feature was first referenced in a code leak last month, and Gurman’s report adds further confirmation that it is indeed in the works for iOS 27.

iOS 27 will focus on a combination of stability improvements and new AI features. There are, however, a handful of features that have been leaked outside of these two areas. For example, Apple Wallet would add a new “Create Pass” feature to convert physical passes to digital passes.
