iOS 27 will add these new features to your iPhone

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 27 during its WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8, and there are already plenty of rumors circulating about the features and changes for iPhones.

The first developer beta of iOS 27 will likely be available immediately after the keynote, and a public beta will typically follow in July. After beta testing, the software update is expected to be released to all users with a compatible iPhone in September.

Siri app

Apple reportedly plans to launch a brand new dedicated Siri app with a so-called “Extensions” feature on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27.

With the Siri app, iPhone, iPad and Mac users will be able to interact with Apple’s assistant in text and voice mode. The app will also allow users to access their past conversations with Siri. Overall, the Siri app would work similarly to chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

iOS 27 is rumored to include a new Siri interface in Dynamic Island. When you trigger Siri, Dynamic Island would display a “Search or Ask” prompt, and this would apparently be accompanied by a “glowing cursor” that resembles how the “26” is highlighted in the WWDC 2026 graphic.

iOS 27 is also expected to include Apple’s custom Siri features, delayed from 2024. For example, Apple showed a user asking Siri about his mother’s flight and lunch reservation based on information retrieved from the Mail and Messages apps.

Apple reportedly plans to add “Undo” and “Redo” options to the iPhone home screen customization menu in iOS 27.
