Apple launches Creative Labs program with The King’s Trust
Apple is partnering with British charity The King’s Trust to launch a new education program that will help young people pursue careers in the creative industries, Apple announced today.
The Apple x King’s Trust Creative Labs will offer people aged 18 to 30 the opportunity to work with Apple experts while exploring different career paths.
A first cohort of up to 20 people participates in specialized workshops to acquire “valuable, industry-adapted skills using Apple technologies”. The educational experience kicked off this week with music industry and creative workshops scheduled for the opening of the Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station in London. Apple Chairman Tim Cook and King Charles III visited the Apple Music Hall to meet attendees.
Other cohorts and other sessions will follow over the next year.
Apple has worked with The King’s Trust since 2019, expanding access to science, technology, engineering, arts and maths programs to schools across the UK. Apple says it is also working with The King’s Trust on resources that will strengthen AI knowledge, creativity and action among educators and young people.
