Apple today updated Apple Creator Studio and Final Cut Camera for iOS to add new features.
Final Cut Camera, Apple’s professional iPhone filming app, now supports variable aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro. Users can change the aperture and choose between aperture priority and shutter priority modes, as well as support for cinematic mode effects for video. Apple says the app has also been redesigned from the ground up to give creators easy access to professional settings like shutter angle, ISO, and white balance.
There are customizable overlays with false color and clipping indicators for exposure and enhanced focus with sensitivity control. A tally light activates when recording is in progress, and there’s a two-finger tap gesture to clear the viewfinder to focus on shooting. Other new features include support for professional video oscilloscopes, clean SDI output and genlock offset.
Pages, Numbers, and Keynote all offer new templates and themes, as well as better collaboration tools. Keynote supports intelligent slide generation, and Numbers offers trigonometry, statistics, and logic functions to solve complex problems in a spreadsheet. Pages for Mac has a screen view that optimizes content for reading and writing.
Pixelmator Pro for iPad offers new collections of templates on Mac and iPad to launch ideas, businesses or products. There is a Podcasts category with cover art options. The iPad app also adopts Select and Mask from the Mac app for precise mask and selection adjustments.
Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac have a new option to add cinematic mode effects to video captured on the iPhone 18 Pro, so users can adjust focus points and depth of field in the Final Cut Pro timeline. Compressor supports converting video with Cinematic Mode effects to the previous Cinematic Mode format and has new HEVC and MPEG-4 export presets.
Freeform includes automatic dark mode support for tables, folders for better organization, and support for writing tools. With writing tools, Apple Intelligence is able to rewrite, proofread and summarize handwritten notes. In visionOS 27, the Vision Pro version of Freeform allows users to pull multiple elements from a table into their space, with multiple users able to view 3D models together as a group.
All updates are available today. Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month and provides access to all of Apple’s creative apps such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro. In free apps like Numbers, Pages and Keynote, it adds premium features that are not available in free apps.
