11 cool new Apple accessories to add to your kit

The long-awaited iPhone 18 Pro has been officially announced and fans are understandably excited. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max attract attention, with a new high-performance chip, variable aperture, smaller dynamic island and faster charging capacity. Apple also finally introduced the first foldable iPhone, a type of device that Android users have loved for years. Its 7.6-inch screen and Apple Pencil support should provide almost the same experience as an iPad mini when it comes to multitasking.

But beyond the new iPhones, there are a few other interesting products on the Apple Store that you may have overlooked: accessories. Apple and third-party brands have just added a range of new items to complement the new iPhone and complete your setup. If you’re shopping for an iPhone 18 Pro, here are 11 other nifty accessories you might also want to check out for your new handset and other Apple devices.

Black or white charging cables don’t seem like a problem until you try to find the right one in a drawer full of cords that look exactly the same. To make it easier to spot the right cable next time, check out the new brightly colored charging cables that Beats just released in the Apple Store for your Apple devices. There’s a five-foot USB-C to USB-C cord in pink, ten-foot USB-C to USB-C in red, and five-foot USB-A to USB-C in pink.

All three cables are designed for both fast charging and data transfer. You can even use them for wired listening to get lossless audio on compatible headphones. It’s important to note, however, that cables have different power ratings when it comes to charging. The pink USB-C to USB-C wire can be used for fast charging up to 60W, while the pink USB-A to USB-C wire can only handle 15W maximum. The red USB-C to USB-C cable has the highest power among the three, capable of a maximum of 240W. The data transfer rate is the same on all cables, supporting USB 2.0 speeds.

Design-wise, all three cables are made with reinforced braids to prevent kinks and fraying that degrade quality over time. They are also designed to be tangle-free. You can get the five-foot cables for $19, while the ten-foot cables are sold for $30.

If you’ve dropped your iPhone more times than you can count or are still wondering where to conveniently keep your phone when you’re on the go, it might be a good idea to get Apple’s $29 wrist strap and $59 shoulder strap accessories. These are woven straps made from 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) yarn and fit directly into any compatible iPhone case with the strap opening. This makes it easier for you to carry your phone and protects it from accidental drops. If you have AirPods Pro 2 and later, you can also use the strap with the charging case – no case required.

Both bands come in multiple colors, perfectly matching the colors of the new iPhone 18 lineup: burgundy, bright blue, black, and light gray (for the strap only). There are also other color options to choose from, such as olive, taupe or magenta, with more colors available for the strap. In terms of length, the wrist strap is set at 15.4 inches long, while the shoulder strap is adjustable and can range from 42.5 inches to 81.9 inches.

Two new MagSafe wallets have hit Apple Store shelves: the $59 FineWoven Wallet and the $50 MOFT Snap Field MagSafe Wallet Stand. The FineWoven Wallet is a great, affordable accessory for your iPhone, especially if you’re considering getting the iPhone 18 series. Similar to the wrist strap and shoulder strap, it comes in iPhone 18 colors, so it should blend right in with the back of your device. The wallet itself uses durable microtwill for the material and is large enough to hold up to three cards. Since it’s MagSafe compatible, it attaches securely to your bare iPhone or any MagSafe case. For your peace of mind, the FineWoven Wallet accessory is also designed to work with Find My. If you ever lose it, you can use the Find My app to check its location.

If you carry more than just cards, you might want to opt for the MOFT Snap Field instead. It can store a maximum of eight cards, plus a few coins and small trinkets. Then there’s also the $199 Modern Buckle bracelets that feature a new woven material dotted with tiny colorful speckles and accented with gold or silver-colored hardware. However, you can only get it in four colors: blackberry, sage, camel, and navy.
