After debuting on Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones and the Galaxy S26 FE, One UI 9.0 is getting closer to releasing on the company’s other phones. It is currently in beta testing, which began in May 2026 with the company’s Galaxy S26 series. Samsung has been gradually adding more phones to the One UI 9.0 Beta program, which now includes more than 20 devices. Although the majority of these phones are the company’s flagship and high-end models from recent years, the company has managed to introduce some mid-range and budget phones, which indicates that it is working hard on developing One UI 9 for every Samsung phone with Android 17. Keep in mind that the One UI 9.0 beta is available in the US, UK, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea, and you can sign up for it using the Samsung Members app.
Here are all the Samsung phones currently eligible for the One UI 9.0 beta:
- Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7
- Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra

- Galaxy A36, Galaxy A35
One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17, which is the most recent version of Google’s operating system and was released to the public on June 16, 2026. Like most previous years, Google’s Pixel lineup was the first to receive the Android 17 update. It contains several improvements, including better multitasking, improved gaming on foldables, and new security features. Although Samsung has not communicated a fixed date for the stable rollout of One UI 9, it is expected to begin soon.
What does One UI 9.0 bring?
With four Samsung phones already running One UI 9, we have a good idea of what to expect on the company’s older phones. One UI 9 contains several upgrades to Galaxy AI, which is Samsung’s AI implementation. Galaxy AI will bring a new feature called Now Nudge to maintain your schedule without you having to worry about it. You’ll also get My FanCam, which uses AI to focus on a selected person in your already captured photos and crop everything into new aspect ratios for better sharing online. Now Brief is another Galaxy AI feature in One UI 9 that creates personalized briefings to keep you on top of everything you usually do on your phone.
Other changes you can expect to see in One UI include an updated Samsung Notes app with new tools and an improved Quick Panel for greater control over what you want to see and quickly adjust. One UI 9 also makes it easier to switch from an iPhone to a Galaxy device. Samsung’s Smart Switch app will be able to import passwords, call history, accessibility settings and eSIM information. This is in addition to things like photos, messages, contacts, calendars and apps that it is also capable of bringing.
Additionally, accessibility tools are beefed up, with better mouse pointer control, combined features from Google and Samsung’s implementation of TalkBack, and a new Text Spotlight feature to highlight text you’ve selected in a floating window. Finally, your phone’s security and privacy section will highlight exactly what different AI assistants are accessing on your phone and when.
