Apple has tested the beta version of the digital assistant in English.
Siri AI, Apple’s long-awaited overhaul of its digital assistant, will be available in five additional languages in October, the company announced today at its fall iPhone event. Siri AI is already available in English through the beta versions of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, and will roll out more widely to English-speaking users once Apple makes these updates publicly available on Monday, September 14. At today’s iPhone event, the company announced plans to bring Siri AI to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish-speaking users next month.
Apple also confirmed that Siri AI will feature everyday use for prompts that require the assistant to use the company’s cloud computing AI models. We’re waiting for the company to share more details, but it said its iCloud+ plans will offer expanded usage limits.
To use Siri Ai, you will need a recent iPhone. Digital assistant support only goes back to the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. On the most recent iPhones, starting with the 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, more powerful built-in models will allow for more accurate voice recognition and dictation.
