After shining the spotlight on The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo will focus on other games for approximately 45 minutes.
After a presentation featuring a deep dive into the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeThe second Nintendo Direct of the week is fast approaching. You can check out this wider Direct at 10 a.m. ET on September 9 on YouTube and Nintendo Today! application. Or you can just watch it here and join the discourse in the comments.
The stream will last approximately 45 minutes and will focus on games coming to Switch 2 this winter. This could also include games that are a bit further away. After the Direct, you can jump over to a Nintendo Treehouse stream to watch gameplay of some of the titles featured. This secondary flow will last approximately 110 minutes.
In addition to the new reveals, we’ll likely get another look at Nintendo Switch Sports Stationwhich arrives on October 22. A leaker with a decent track record has claimed the next Super Smash Bros. game, DLC that will bring Fox McCloud to Mario Kart World and a revival of the Nintendogs series are in the works, but it’s unclear if any of them will appear during this Direct.
Nintendo is unlikely to spend much time Ocarina of time remake after giving fans a closer look at that game and its completely non-controversial new art direction during Tuesday’s Zelda-focused Direct. The company also showed off a Zelda-themed Switch 2 and Pro Controller, a new Amiibo, and a Lego set including Link and Epona.
The upcoming film adaptation received a brief mention to confirm the title – it’s simply called The Legend of Zelda – and that it will have an original story based on ideas and concepts from the games. The film will be released in theaters on April 30, 2027.
