Nintendo has just announced two live events for next week. There is one to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda on September 8 at 10 a.m. ET and another traditional Nintendo Direct on September 9, also at 10 a.m. ET.
The Zelda stream will last approximately 30 minutes. It’s billed as a celebration of the iconic franchise’s 40th anniversary, but it will likely devote most of its time to this upcoming event. Ocarina of time remake. The company first announced this game back in June and it looks like a complete overhaul of the N64 classic.
Of course, it’s always possible that the company will take this time to tease another upcoming Zelda game at a later date. Unfortunately, I think it’s still too early to have any news on a main entry, like the sequel to Tears of the kingdom. I guess we could get another 2D game or some sort of Mario Kart World cross promotion or something like that. It’s also likely that we’ll get a short teaser for the Zelda movie.
The standard Direct livestream on September 9 is a little more mysterious. It is very likely that Ocarina of time The remake is the company’s big holiday release, although more things will be released in the coming months. We’ll probably get one last trailer for Fire Emblem: The Weave of Fortunewhich comes out on September 17. Nintendo Switch Sports Stationanother pseudo-sequence of Wii Sportswill be released on October 22, so expect new images. Despite its name, it’s a Switch 2 exclusive.
It’s likely we’ll see trailers for some cross-platform holiday releases, like Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World And Final Fantasy Resonance. As a prologue, we will also have images of dozens of enjoyable and other games.
However, this Live should last 45 minutes. That’s plenty of time for surprises. The Switch 2 has been out for over a year now and there’s still no news of an upcoming mainline Mario game. The same goes for the Animal Crossing franchises, Super Smash Bros. and Pikmin, among others. Hope springs eternal.
