It looks like T-Mobile is offering a discounted postpaid plan that users can take full advantage of. The plan, called Super Essentials Saver, is only available in-store at Walmart and allows new accounts to get up to two lines of service for $25 per month each with autopay (and $30 per month each without autopay). The “hidden” plan was spotted by Reddit users in the wild, and they shared photos of signs reading “Limited Time,” along with a note that the plan is exclusive to Walmart. (via Android Authority)
The real kicker is that this plan is a version of T-Mobile’s unlimited plan, which typically costs $50 per line if you sign up direct, but gives you unlimited talk, text, and 5G data. It’s essentially a 50% discount from the usual price T-Mobile charges. However, as stated above, this plan is for new users only. This means it won’t be easy to switch if you already have T-Mobile, so it’s not really a great way to save money on your bill if you’re already signed up with the carrier. The promotional price is also entirely limited to two service lines only, so any line higher than that will not be eligible for the discounted price.
It is unclear when the agreement will end
Ultimately, T-Mobile and Walmart calling this offer a “limited time” means it could end at any time. So if you want to take advantage of it, it’s better not to wait. The plan appears to have launched on August 6, 2026, according to the text on the promotional image shared on Reddit, but it does not indicate an end date.
The plan does offer some solid incentives, though, especially if you’ve already considered T-Mobile service but might not want to sign up for T-Mobile’s standard offerings. It comes with unlimited talk, text, and 5G/4G data on T-Mobile’s nationwide network, plus 50GB of “premium” data and unlimited 3G mobile hotspot. This includes coverage in Canada and Mexico, as well as unlimited texting to over 215 countries.
There are, of course, many other carriers that use T-Mobile coverage, so you can always take a look. Ultimately, this limited-time offer could finally allow T-Mobile’s postpaid plan to stand up to some of the best unlimited phone plans, especially for under $50. It will be interesting to see what longtime T-Mobile users think of this type of offer, especially since the company launched a T-Mobile loyalty plan several months ago that wasn’t as good a deal.
