Along with the launch of the new Mac Studio and Mac mini models, Apple today expanded its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with up to 60W to Vietnam and countries in Europe that use the European two-prong Type-C plug.
The updated variant of the power adapter has a two-prong retractable design. The prongs go back into the power adapter housing, making it easy to store in a bag or pocket. Apple previously launched a standard US variant in September 2025 alongside the iPhone 17 models and a Type G plug version in November 2025.
Countries where the 40W Dynamic Type-C Power Adapter with 60W maximum is available include Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Vietnam. In most eurozone countries, its price is 45 euros.
The 40W Dynamic Power Adapter is the same size as Apple’s 20W charger, but it offers faster 40W charging. It also supports up to 60W charging in short bursts to further speed up charging. The power adapter can quickly charge iPhone 17 models, iPhone Air and iPad Pro models.
