After years of waiting, Walmart announced today that it will finally begin accepting contactless payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay at some of its Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in the United States starting Monday, August 24.
“We want customers and members to have a choice in how they pay, so they can pay in the way that works best for them,” Walmart said in a press release.
Walmart has already accepted Apple Pay in its Canadian stores since 2020.
