In a new ad shared today on its YouTube channel, Apple highlighted how the Apple Watch alerted an athlete named Connor to signs of atrial fibrillation. Apple said doctors later discovered Connor had a congenital heart condition, which led him to undergo open heart surgery, so the Apple Watch potentially saved his life.

The ECG app comes preinstalled on Apple Watch Series 4 and newer models as well as all Apple Watch Ultra models, but is not available on any Apple Watch SE models.
