Apple today released new beta versions of iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1, which are available to developers and public beta testers. The iOS and iPadOS 26.6.1 betas arrive two weeks after the launch of iOS 26.6, an update that added Spotlight optimizations ahead of iOS 27.
iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 can be downloaded over-the-air to eligible iPhones and iPads by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 26.6.1 includes security fixes for the iPhone and iPad. Updates are only available in beta at the moment.
Apple is finishing work on iOS 26 as iOS 27 will launch in about a month. iOS 27 is available to developers and public beta testers ahead of its public debut.
