It distributes its “Series 1” trading cards online and at in-person events.
NVIDIA has introduced a series of GeForce trading cards with 14 possible models, which it says represent “the great moments of GeForce PC gaming,” at a time when gamers have become embittered by the company. The GPU maker has recently prioritized its AI customers by making more products for data centers, as the AI sector has caused huge memory shortages across the board. NVIDIA is reportedly not expected to release its next series of consumer GPUs aimed at gamers until 2027.
Although the launch of the cards was poorly timed, at least the company isn’t selling them. These are more promotional materials than collectibles that people can buy. The company says it’s offering them through its “Summer of RTX giveaways on GeForce social channels, as well as at select summer gaming shows and community events, including Bilibili World 2026, QuakeCon 2026, and gamescom 2026.” At in-person events, customers can visit the company’s booths to ask questions about the cards.
According to the company’s announcement, this is just the first run of its trading cards, indicating that it plans to release more in the future. Series 1 models include those featuring the NV1, NVIDIA’s first mainstream media processor, as well as the GeForce 256, the world’s first GPU.
