FancyZones is a window manager built into PowerToys. Its role is not to replace Windows shortcuts, but to offer more control over how windows occupy the screen.
Instead of settling for the models offered by Snap Layouts, you create your own work plan, divided into personalized areas. They can be symmetrical, offset, wide or narrow, designed for a horizontal screen, a vertical screen or a second monitor dedicated to certain applications. Once the model is ready, simply move a window to one of the defined locations so that it fits neatly there.
This is particularly useful when you always work with the same small ecosystem of open applications. Browser on the left, notes on the right, messaging in a column, Explorer in a corner, video on a secondary screen: everyone can create a layout adapted to their habits.
