Apple today released the second beta versions of the upcoming iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6 updates to developers for testing, with the software available three weeks after Apple launched the first beta versions.
Registered developers can download beta versions from the Settings app on iPhone or iPad by going to the General section and selecting Software Update.
With the launch of iOS 27 scheduled for September, Apple is finishing work on iOS 26. We don’t expect any major new features in the iOS 26.6 update, and it will mainly focus on bug fixes and performance improvements.
The update adds new wording regarding blocked contact limits, letting users know when they have exceeded the maximum number of blocked contacts. The update could also include a new anti-tear feature that locks your iPhone if it’s grabbed from your hand.
