Apple today announced an update to iCloud Shared Albums to make it easier for friends and family on Android and Windows to join and contribute photos, with support for full-resolution images.
The improvement for Android and Windows users removes a notable sticking point for mixed groups, making it easier for users outside of the Apple ecosystem to participate in albums shared through iCloud.com, as well as add full-resolution photos without compression for the first time.
Apple also introduced new ways to filter and respond to photos in shared albums, as well as updated tools for inviting others to contribute.
