It’s just Resident Evil: Veronica now.
A remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica comes out in 2027 and, so far, we’re sure of one thing: it features an extremely dramatic French accent of a little old lady who has absolutely nothing sinister to hide. OK, at least the first half is confirmed.
A trailer for the Code Véronique remake opened the big showcase at Summer Game Fest 2026, and it was a nice little surprise to kick things off. The remake is simply called, Resident Evil: Veronicaand it feels very different from the Dreamcast game you remember. Capcom is released Resident Evil: Code Veronica in 2000, following Claire and Chris Redfield after the events of Resident Evil 2 And 3in the aftermath of the destruction of Raccoon City. It takes place primarily on an Antarctic prison island, and players control Claire and Chris at different points in the game as they attempt to thwart the Umbrella Corp.
