5 Amazon Prime Day gadgets you can get at deep discounts

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is here, and in a world where many gadgets are seeing their prices rise due to the current RAM and storage shortage, it’s time to grab some of the products you’ve been saving up for at a discount. While the discounts don’t seem as impressive as you might expect compared to previous years, there are still several gadgets you can save a good chunk of change on. As you might expect, many of the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days promotional discounts are exclusive to Prime members; However, you can still spot several promotions, open to everyone.

We’ve picked out some of the biggest gadget deals to get you started. As with any sale or sales event, discounted items may have limited stock. So if you’re thinking about buying something, it might be a good idea to pull the trigger before it’s sold out, but make sure you’re getting a good deal. You can also use several apps that track discounts and prices on Amazon. When selecting these deals, we took into account the historical prices of each product and took into account any recent price increases that the products may have experienced due to the AI boom.

Google’s all-new Pixel 11 Pro XL, launched in August this year, is getting its first major discount as part of the Amazon sale. Otherwise priced from $1,299, the phone is currently available from $999, saving you $300 across all three storage variants. As we noted in our review of the Pixel 11 Pro XL, it’s a great all-around daily driver, performing well in all the essentials. It has a vibrant display, offers over 30 hours of battery life, has one of the best cameras among Android phones, and comes with an impressive software support period.

The only downside is that some of its latest additions aren’t here yet, although the company is rapidly improving features like the HiLight LED. You can choose from four color options for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and it’s compatible with all major carriers in the United States. Besides the Pixel 11 Pro XL, the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro are also listed with deep discounts, and you can save $150 and $250, respectively.

Eufy Security’s E340 is a popular option if you’re considering a video doorbell with built-in local storage, which also requires no subscription. Although it has a list price of $150 and is often marked down to around $120, you can get it for $100 during the Amazon sale. It can work as both a wired and wireless video doorbell, thanks to the included 6,500 mAh battery, and has two built-in cameras. While one of the cameras covers the front and provides a head-to-toe view of all visitors, the secondary camera monitors packages or small visitors to your home. Other features include support for color night vision and your existing mechanical chimes, built-in motion-activated lights, and two-way audio.

There is 8GB of built-in storage for doorbell recordings. However, if you want more storage, you may want to invest the money you saved on the Prime Day deal into the company’s HomeBase 3, which is a smart hub for Eufy devices and lets you further expand local storage for the E340 (and any other Eufy cameras you use) up to 16TB (with 16GB built-in). It’s also selling at a discount right now. The E340 is one of the best-selling video doorbells on Amazon and also one of Consumer Reports’ Top Picks for non-subscription models.

Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Headphones are another gadget that you can buy at a deep discount during the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. These wireless earbuds, which have a list price of $359, are selling for just $169 in the sale, which is the lowest price ever on Amazon. These popular wireless over-ear headphones feature active noise cancellation (ANC), 24 hours of audio playback with ANC, multi-point Bluetooth connectivity, and a lightweight, foldable design. You also get a hard case with a faux leather exterior for carrying them around and an audio cable with a built-in microphone, which you can plug into the earbuds when you want to use them as wired earphones. The microphone in the cable joins a built-in microphone in the earbuds themselves.

In other features, you can manage the Bose headphones using the company’s Bose Music app for Android and iOS, which offers EQ presets, a 3-band graphic EQ, and button mapping. Unfortunately, there is no support for USB audio or quick pairing on either mobile platform. If you don’t have the budget for the QuietComfort Ultra or the second-generation QuietComfort Bluetooth headphones, you might want to consider them. There are several color options to choose from; However, Amazon doesn’t seem to offer the same discount on Chilled Lilac, Blue Dusk, and Moonstone Blue colors.

In addition to offering solid discounts on Google’s Pixel 11 series, Amazon has a great deal on the Pixel Watch 5. This Wear OS smartwatch originally launched for $399 alongside the Pixel 11, but Amazon Prime members can currently get it for just $335, which is a pretty reasonable $65 discount on a two-month-old smartwatch. The Pixel Watch 5 has a lot going for it, from its 3,000 nit OLED display, all-day battery life with fast charging, and a host of health and fitness features, including blood pressure and insulin resistance tracking.

Experts from CNET, PC Mag, and Trusted Reviews generally had good things to say about the smartwatch, highlighting its sleek design, accurate exercise and sleep tracking, and fast charging, but were unhappy with the increased introductory price and a scratch-prone design. Luckily, you won’t have to pay the premium price if you buy it now.

The Pixel Watch 5 comes in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm, both of which are also available in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. Plus, there are four color options to choose from and a special Stephen Curry edition, which is obviously more expensive but also has an $85 discount.

Samsung’s budget-friendly S32GF monitor has dropped to its lowest price during the ongoing Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale. Its list price is $160, but you can buy it for $96 right now, which will save you $64. It is a 27-inch IPS monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and two HDMI 1.4 ports. Among other highlights, the monitor has an Eye Saver mode to reduce blue light and a Game Picture mode for better visibility of in-game elements. This can be a good option if you are on a tight budget.

Unfortunately, despite its relatively higher refresh rate, it doesn’t support popular variable refresh rate technologies like AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync to reduce screen tearing in games. Still, the 120Hz refresh rate should help provide a smoother experience in everyday computing. You also don’t get any USB ports or built-in speakers, and the included stand only supports tilt in terms of adjustments.

Amazon shoppers generally have good things to say about the monitor and have given it an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, based on more than 600 reviews. Buyers find it a good value and say it offers rich colors and excellent overall picture quality. That said, some buyers complain about the lack of built-in speakers and the location of the power button.
