12 new things to expect from Apple in October
October is set to become a very busy month for Apple, with the company preparing to launch the iPhone Duo, iOS 27.1 and iOS 27.2, as well as a new Mac Studio configuration with 512 GB of RAM. Additionally, up to seven other Apple products could be revealed this month, including an all-new smart home hub, a new Apple TV 4K, a new HomePod mini, an iPad mini with OLED display, MacBook Pro models with OLED displays, and more.
Below, we’ve outlined 12 new things to expect from Apple in October.

The following three devices will be revealed on Tuesday October 13according to a report from Bloombergfrom Mark Gurman:
- Visitor Center: An all-new Apple smart home hub featuring Siri AI, a 6-7 inch square screen, an A18 chip or newer for Apple Intelligence, FaceTime and more. A new operating system will feature clock faces, widgets and more. There will be a tabletop version with a speaker base and a wall-mounted version.
↳ homeOS: Apple’s smart home hub is expected to run an entirely new operating system that could be called homeOS, according to trademark filings.
- Apple TV 4K (4th generation): A19 or A19 Pro chip, an increase from 8GB to 12GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI support, an Apple-designed N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, and an updated Siri Remote. A leak has revealed that the new Apple TV will look similar to the existing model.
- HomePod mini 2: Newer chip, Siri AI support, improved sound quality, Apple’s N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, and new color options including pink and green. No major design changes.
Apple plans to unveil a second round of new products during the last week of Octoberaccording to Woozad sources. While we don’t know exactly what products will be arriving at this time, it’s likely that the following Macs will be announced:

Apple has yet to announce an October event. When it held a “Scary Fast” event on October 30, 2023, Apple sent out invitations six days before, on October 24. Today, six days before the October 13 date, Apple is reportedly planning to unveil a brand new home hub, so we’ll see if history repeats itself and the invites go out today.
If no events are planned in October, expect press releases on the Apple Newsroom website, as well as shorter YouTube videos by product and hands-on roundups for selected journalists and content creators.
